SCHOOL ASSESSMENT AND EVALUATION

Foundational Stage (NUR – II)

• No Formal Examination from Nursery to Class II.
• Continuous Comprehensive Assessment of the competencies & skills acquired.
• Grading System is followed.
• For promotion to the next class level of skills acquired is taken into consideration.

Preparatory Stage (III – V)

• Session is divided into two term – Term I and II. Each term carries the weightage of 50%.
• Each term is further divided into two units.
• Assessment of the competencies attained is conducted at the end of each unit. Grading system is followed.
• For promotion to the next class, final consolidated frade is taken into consideration.

Middle Stage (VI – VIII)

• Two Terms
• Term I – Pre Mid Term and Mid Term
• Term II – Post Mid Term and Final Exams
• Assessment is done on the basis of performance in

1. Periodic Tests      
2. Subject Enrichment Activities        
3. Notebook Competition

• Promotion is on the basis of final consolidated result.

Secondary Stage

IX

• Annual System
• Internal Assessment is done on the basis of performance in ---- Periodic Tests, Subject Enrichment Activities, Notebook Completion, Portfolios, Assignment completion etc.
• Promotion is on the basis of final consolidated result.

XI

• According to CBSE, there will be Annual Examination System:
  • Weightage of Dec. Unit Test (Post mid) - 10%
  • Half-yearly (Mid Term) – 30%
  • Final Exams – 60%
• For promotion to the next class, both final and consolidated results will be taken into consideration.
