The institution has registered for the first time GOBAR TIMES GREEN SCHOOL AWARDS conducted by centre for Science and Environment.It was an honourable moments when it was awarded as GREEN SCHOOL for continuous three years on national level.
2008 - 7th on National Level by CSE, awarded by Renowned Scientist Dr. M.S. Swaminathan. (Energy Conservation)<br><br>
2009 - 4th on national level by CSE, awarded by CM Sheila Dikshit, famous personality Sharmila Tagore. (Water conservation and Rain water harvesting) <br><br>
3rd in state awarded by PSCS&T as Green School by Mr. Ladder.<br><br>
2010-11 - 10th on national level by CSe, awarded by Mrs. Sunita Narain (CSE)

BCM has taken the step toaware the community in Environmental Concerns. Green Wave is the message givento the Community in which Tips are given how to conserve and protect naturalresources. The Green Wave pamphlets were circulated, to the management,Principal Mrs. Paramjeet Kaur along with Environment manager played animportant role in the awareness to community.
“LET EVERY HUMAN BEING UNDERSTAND THEIR ROLE TO BE PALYED INPROTECTING NATURE.”
It was a high spirit of worthy management and Madam Principal for investing a large amount on “GreenWave” Pamphlets.

- Our institution have maintained Environment policies for increase in the ground water level Rainwater Harvesting Unit is installed.
- We have been awarded on Zero% waste. "Say No to Polybags," Strictly, Use Jute, Cotton Bags.
- We have been awarded by PSCS&T as third in the state as Green School by Mr. Ladder, Director of PSCS&T.
- The institution preserves the natural resources and aware the students to mitigate the disasters also in Disaster management policy.
- The institution is always ahead in providing helping in Disaster Relief Fund. Donation in Lakh
- were given during Leh Ladakh Cloud.
- The institution has co-ordination with Aashirwad and Darpan(NGO of Autism children).

CLEAN UP SUTLEJ ACTIVITY

Clean up Sutlej activity was taken up under OSI. 40 OSI members had gone on the banks of river Sutlej wearing masks and rubber gloves. They collected polybags, metalframes, glass pieces.
The team of RBS 40 volunteer were also involved.

60 students of GSP went to on the bridge of River Sutlej, Ladowal N.H-1. They form human wall on the bridge carring plycards, music instruments.
They conducted signature campaign and sang songs and slogan to give message:-
"Not to throw polybags, Metal frames, glass pieces in water". Don't pollute rivers.
The project was in co-ordination with RBS roots.

BCM, Shastri Nagar, second branch office of "The Ocean Savers of India". It works under the aegis of Indian Maritime foundation.
The project was launched on Earth day 2012. Mr. Karan Ragade inaugurated the ceremony. It aims to develop love and respect towards water bodies.
It includes team of 40 members, Principal Paramjeet Kaur & chairman of OSI Ludhiana branch and Mrs. Vipra, the Env. Manager.

BCM has been awarded as a GREEN SCHOOL from Centre for Science and Env. , New Delhi since 3 years in a row. Recently in May 2012 a institution was awarded“Dainik Bhaskar Jal Satyagraha Star Award 2012” for conservation of water.
The institution has been working seriously in the areana of Env. Special policies on Env. Had been planned and implemented. The premises has three rainwater harvestingunit 52000lt., 72000lt., 72000lt. Capacity each which increases the ground water level.

BCM Aryans attend International GLOBE Science Programme at Delhi

5 GLOBE (Global Learning and Observation to Benefit the Environment) students along with Environment Manager Mrs. Vipra Kale participated in International Globe Science Festival held at New Delhi.
It was the first festival held in Asia Pacific Region organized by Indian Environment Society, Public Affairs Section, US Embassy & Ministry of Environment & Forests. It was an excellent platform for BCM Aryans as they got an opportunity to interact with teams of Thailand, Nepal, USA and national level teams from Udaipur, Andhra Pradesh and Delhi..
Interactive Sessions, Eco-Haat, Nukkad Natak, Model display, cultural programmes were performed. Students had practical field workshop related to soil and atmosphere protocol.
The platform provided a key message for sustainability of Environment education as a tool for transformation in teaching and learning as there is a need for students to have good surrounding to develop into good leaders.

An workshop on "Awareness to Love and Respect Oceans" was conducted co-ordinated with 9 city school. The team of students with teacher-cordinator of all subjects participated. Presentations on "Nature" "Oceans" were shown to students. The workshop was conducted under "The Ocean Savers of India" taken up by Env. Manager of the school.

An Inter National Coastal Clean up activity was conducted on 28th Sep. under Indian Maritime foundation, Washington D.c. 10 students from 3 city schools, 40 OSI members had clean up activity at Sutluj River bank. Students had different activities at the bank. An Awareness to keep the Rivers clean was conducted.

EARTH DAY
EARTH DAY was observed by GREEN SCHOOL PROGRAMME STUDENTS. The captains were given badges by Madam Principal who will work on Land, Air, Water, Energy, Biodiversity, Waste Management.
CBSE is endorsing the use of "Compassionate Citizen" a humane education programme prepared for the ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA). It aims to sensitize the students to develop love, feelings for animals.

SEMINAR ON ENVIRONMENT POLLUTION
The team of 5 students along with Env. Manager, Mrs. Vipra attended Seminar on Environment Pollution, under the aegis of District Administration, Ludhiana. The seminar was conducted by Hari-Bhari National Environment Protection Society. It aimed to aware the Env. pollution in society. The chief guest was Hon'ble Mr. Justic V. Gopala Gowda Judge Supreme Court of India. Rahul Tiwari Deputy Commissioner of Ludhiana selected students as ambassador.

75 students participated in the CBSE - Saevus Inter School Competition on celebration of Global Tiger day. Students have written stories and poems on the Tiger Videos downloaded by Saevus on website. It created an awareness to "SAVE TIGERS".

Marching ahead for Green Neighbourhood Programme
BCM Aryans marching ahead to Green the Community with the co-ordination of Lal Bahadur Shastri Social Forum, Shastri Nagar. The flag off ceremony was conducted in Lal Bahadur Shastri Park, Shastri Nagar in the presence of Principal Mrs. Paramjit Kaur, Environment Manager and GSP team. The aim and motive was to create awareness among the community to conserve the natural resources and to be close to nature.
In Green neighbourhood program the society has been adopted by the BCM Aryans and awareness was conducted by the team through different programs and activities.Green message was circulated and model showing environmental issues were displayed.
The dignitaries present were Mr. Pawan Deewan (President DCC Ldh.) , Mr. Sushil Malhotra (President of Lal Bahadur Shastri Forum), Mr. Vivek Bharti, Parent Coordinator , members of the society,Senior Citizens. A sapling was planted by Mr. Pawan Diwan. Mr. Sushil Malhotra encouraged the Project by conducting the Green Neighbourhood Programme in other parks of Shastri Nagar.
